Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a collaborative space to better understand what you are experiencing, explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels manageable.

At Lightbridge, I provide individual psychotherapy for adults experiencing emotional distress, difficult life circumstances, or patterns that have become hard to navigate alone. Therapy may focus on addressing current concerns, understanding how past experiences continue to affect you, developing practical ways to cope, or simply creating space to make sense of what you are going through.

Sessions are tailored to your needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

Areas We Can Work On

You do not need to have a diagnosis—or know exactly what is wrong—to begin therapy. Some of the concerns I commonly work with include:

  • Depression and low mood

  • Anxiety, worry, and chronic stress

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Burnout and emotional exhaustion

  • Difficult life transitions

  • Relationship and interpersonal difficulties

  • Self-esteem and self-criticism

  • Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected

  • Physical or somatic experiences related to emotional distress

  • Understanding recurring emotional or behavioral patterns

My Approach

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and individualized. Rather than applying one therapeutic model to every person, I draw from different evidence-based approaches based on your needs, goals, and experiences.

Therapy may involve understanding the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and past experiences; developing practical coping skills; recognizing patterns that are no longer serving you; and exploring new ways of responding to yourself and the situations around you.

Most importantly, I believe therapy should make sense to you. I will explain what we are working on and why, and we can adjust our approach together as your needs change.

What to Expect

Getting Started

Our first sessions are an opportunity for me to learn more about what brings you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, and what you hope might be different. You do not need to arrive with everything figured out.

Ongoing Sessions

As we continue, we will identify the areas you would like to focus on and develop goals together. Some sessions may involve deeper exploration and reflection, while others may focus more on practical strategies, problem-solving, or skills.

Along the Way

Therapy is not always a linear process. Your needs and priorities may change over time, and our work can change with them. We will periodically check in about what is helping, what is not, and where you would like to go next.
